Today, we’re proud to share an important milestone in Junction’s reconciliation journey with the launch of our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

The RAP, launched today at our NAIDOC Community Celebration, will guide our work over the next three years. Endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, a RAP helps organisations turn their commitment to reconciliation into meaningful action. Stretch is the second-highest level of RAP, with only around 200 organisations across Australia currently working at this level.

This RAP reflects a journey that has been shaped by honest conversations, shared learning and a growing understanding of what it means to be a genuine ally. While we are proud to have reached this point, we also recognise the responsibility that comes with it.

Sitting at the very beginning of the RAP, our Ally Statement reflects the values and commitments that guide our approach to allyship and the actions we take as an organisation.

Allyship is not something we have mastered. It requires ongoing learning, listening and reflection. We know we won’t always get everything right, but we are committed to approaching this work with openness, respect and a willingness to learn.

Our RAP helps keep us accountable by turning our intentions into actions. It provides a clear roadmap for where we want to go and reinforces the importance of building strong relationships, particularly with Aboriginal-led organisations, as well as with the communities we support and each other.

This is a journey for all of us. It asks us to stay curious, embrace learning and continue growing together. Through this RAP, we reaffirm our commitment to listening, acting thoughtfully and contributing to meaningful change.
