David Burton

David has more than 18 years’ experience in all aspects of property development and real estate management in Australia, working for market leading development companies such as Stockland, Peet, Colliers International, Metro Property Development and Devine. He has held a number of senior roles over this period, leading high performing teams, across a variety of disciplines, including; development management, capital transactions, planning and design, sales, marketing and strategy.
David joins Junction from Stockland, Australia’s largest diversified property group, where he has most recently been responsible for the growth of the residential business as National Manager of Business Development and Capital Transactions, leading property acquisitions and divestments across Australia, including transacting over $2 billion of direct property. He has been directly involved in a large number of successful residential developments in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, South East Queensland and Perth.
As a highly skilled, forward-thinking, innovative property professional, David is passionate about delivering best-in-class housing and urban development outcomes and joins as General Manager Housing Services, where he is responsible for the strategic direction, active management and growth of Junction’s property portfolio.
David holds a Bachelor of Property from University of South Australia and started his career as a property valuer, where he held the designation of Certified Practicing Valuer, as an Associate member of the Australian Property Institute. David has also undertaken post graduate study in Urban Planning at Curtin University.
