BOARD DIRECTOR

Craig Rigney is one of South Australia’s most influential Aboriginal and community sector leaders – and a driving force behind meaningful change across the State and country.
A proud Ngarrindjeri Kaurna man, he has dedicated his career to eliminating all forms of violence against women and children and stemming the flow of Aboriginal children and families into the child protection system.
Craig is currently Chief Executive Officer of KWY Aboriginal Corporation (Kornar Winmil Yunti). He has led and grown KWY for the past 14 years, building it from a staff of 2 in 2011 to an organisation with over 120 staff across Adelaide, Port Augusta, Mount Gambier, Port Lincoln, Whyalla, and the Riverland.
Under his leadership, KWY delivers holistic, culturally endorsed complex case management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families.
In addition to his role as CEO at KWY, Craig has extensive experience serving on numerous national and state-based advisory panels, committees, and boards—advocating for and providing strategic guidance on practice, policy, and system design that supports vulnerable Aboriginal communities.
Craig is currently a representative on the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Council on family, domestic and sexual violence (Advisory Council) and a member of the The First Nations National Plan Steering Committee.
