Over the last few weeks we have been touched by the Christmas spirit of those in our community who have donated to our Christmas Appeal and Wishing Trees.
After turning some office space into Santa's Workshop while we sorted through the many gifts and donations we received, we were able to provide enough gifts for the children and young people we work with, and then some! With gifts for newborns up to 17 year olds, the donations were extremely thoughtful and generous.
We were even supplied gifts to be given to young people who are transitioning to independent living, including bedding, crockery, toasters, kettles and more. These donations are very helpful in helping young people settle into their new homes and kick-start their independent living.
As well as the gifts for the children and young people, we were also donated a large amount of non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing and Christmas goodies including puddings and chocolates. These items will be given to our clients, as well as people facing homelessness and financial hardship in the community.
Our team will be distributing the donated goods leading up to, and over Christmas, and our clients have all been very grateful and touched by the generosity and kindness of our donors.
We cannot thank those involved enough for their generosity and thoughtfulness over the holiday season.
Special thanks to our corporate partners who took part in our Wishing Trees this year:
Thank you also to our supporters who donated many gifts, non-perishable food and hygiene products for our clients, families and children:
Financial contributions can still be made to our Christmas Appeal throughout January 2018, and if you'd like to make a donation please click here. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
