April 10, 2017
On Friday 31 March we held our first Business Breakfast for 2017 which was a sell out with 150 guests. We were lucky enough to be joined by Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, State Director of Microsoft SA, who spoke about the ‘fourth industrial revolution’ we are facing as well as the changes and impacts of innovation in technology and business culture. Dr Balan-Vnuk was joined by Noelle Smit, Director of Teamgage, a web based employee monitoring system that allows staff to update management on their levels of satisfaction within their roles. Graham Brown, CEO of Junction Australia presented New Leaf Village, Junction Australia's own innovative project which plans to face the scourge of domestic violence in Adelaide’s northern suburbs by offering a safe and supportive place for women and their children who are leaving violent and abusive homes.
This event also served as an emotional farewell for Graham Brown, who will be parting from Junction Australia after serving for 12 years as CEO. Graham spoke of wanting South Australia to be state that fosters creativity and innovation and said he would be 'damned' if his granddaughters had to leave SA because of lack of opportunity. Graham challenged our state's business people and leaders to work together to create a better SA for all.
