April 10, 2017
The Board of Junction is delighted to announce the appointment of Maria Palumbo as our new CEO. Ms Palumbo’s appointment will take effect from 26 April, 2017.
Maria has an outstanding record of achievement in her former roles and brings with her a wealth of experience in both the housing and community service sectors. Maria was chosen from a strong field of local and national candidates and is a highly impressive woman known for her collaborative leadership style, energy and ability to deliver outcomes. Maria’s most recent role has been with Renewal SA where she has worked closely with the community housing sector in South Australia. She was previously CEO of Common Ground Adelaide Ltd, a provider of housing and support services to assist people out of homelessness.
Maria will bring new skills and perspectives to Junction and as the organisation continues to go from strength to strength, in energetic pursuit of its mission to ‘strengthening lives and communities’.
We acknowledge and thank our outgoing CEO, Graham Brown, for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service to socially and economically disadvantaged people and communities over the last 12 years. Under his leadership, the organisation has grown significantly and is now acknowledged as a leading independent provider of integrated housing and social support services.
Junction currently offers integrated housing and more than 30 services in 33 local government areas, manages over 1700 homes and has more than $370 million of assets under management. With approximately 250 staff, the organisation serves more than 6500 Australians every year. As it looks to the future, the Board is confident that Maria will be able to build upon the solid platform that Graham has established and to drive the organisation to the next level.
Junction highly values the ongoing support of government agencies, our professional colleagues, service delivery partners, corporate sponsors and community donors. We are pleased to report that Maria is looking forward to meeting with you as she seeks to further strengthen our valued working relationships.
