Our Community Centres are open to the public and we invite and encourage you and your family to visit our friendly staff, participate in the programs on offer and meet new people.
Hackham Community Centre (HCC) was established in 2002 to provide support and information in a family friendly, local environment. This wonderful centre provides programs and opportunities for locals and their families who are living in the Onkaparinga area. Some of the programs that are run from the centre offer the option of free Creche (bookings essential).
The Kangaroo Island Community Centre (KICC) is located in Kingscote and is a collaborative hub that enables Junction Australia to work with individuals, groups, communities and government agencies to develop and deliver an increasingly diverse range of supportive services on Kangaroo Island. These services support individuals and families to thrive within their local communities.
“KICC (Kangaroo Island Community Centre) is very important to the Island because it’s a place that people can get help, meet other people and to learn. I first visited the centre to use a computer as I had to print out a form. The staff were friendly and as I needed help they suggested I join a weekly computer class they were running. I really enjoyed the class as I got to meet other people and I have now bought myself a computer. I really enjoy my time at the community centre and now I help out in the community garden.” – Robert.
